Rainy day today brightened up by a trip to the pottery with my boys & picking up these 16 finished Chakra Wheels

Still deciding whether to make a ceramic wind chime out of half of them and thread the others up as necklace pendants.. what do you think?

All are Earthenware glazed around the rim with white slip and glass melted in the middle of each to create a swirl of energy!

All were made with Reiki energy - something I do with most of my ceramics but dont mention that much (^_~)  - the Cho Ku Rei symbol was projected into the center of each and is drawn on the back of each ♥

Bluebell Wood World Love Meditation - 29th April 2012 

1pm start - Middleton Woods, Curly Hill, llkley LS29 0DT

A free open to everyone meditation - Inspired by the beautiful bluebells & colourful world we live in. 

Spread the word and invite friends and family to create a special large free meditation for all to enjoy.

You do not need any experience in meditation, this is a non-religious gathering.

We will be breathing in love and the colours of nature during this 30-45min meditation.

Our goal is to spread love and positive intentions to the world and to open more people to the peace of meditation and nature.

Middleton Woods will be carpeted with a magnificent display of bluebells which we can all enjoy together, relaxing and breathing into nature’s love & wonder.

Please find us - By foot from the centre of Ilkley (15mins) or park your car on Curly Hill roadside, (after house number 80 -half way up the hill) where you will find the gated entrances to the woods (signposted Middleton Woods) on your left and right – Please enter the woods on the right hand side (facing up the hill) and look directly downwards into a circular clearing, we will be there at the entrance and where to gather will be clearly visible.

Please bring - a mat, chair, blanket and water - all your comforts for meditation in the open - hopefully it will be a sunny spring afternoon in the woods but please prepare for the English weather.

Inspired by a glorious walk to the 12 Apostles stone circle & the radiant rainbow that shone last week on Ilkley Moor these are Chakra Rainbow Energy Pendants.

These new croxton discs with white slip in the centre of each were made over the full moon.

They have been bisque fired & are now ready to be earthenware fired with glass in each center.

They represent the powerful wheel energies of each chakra spinning within all our bodies, the glass will melt & fuse with energy too!

Outdoor croxton Butterfly & Angel are now fluttering in my garden, glistening in the spring sun.

I am pleasantly surprised with the different stoneware colours of red, yellow, green, blue & dark silver all created by different glazes, underglazes and oxides…

They represent transformation & the abundance of love which one can achieve through listening within to adapt a new approach, a new outlook, a new direction in life to learn one’s lesson in life.

Outside Crogged Clay Stoneware Hearts & Triangle bowl’s have all been exhibited in the window at HOMA (Horsforth museum of modern art) this past month.

Half have been sold and half are here with daffodils ready for spring markets & for showing at the Otley Court House next month

Rainbow Angels flew out of the kiln this week! 

These Angelic forms were shaped a month ago, and then engraved with pattern on their wings, bodies & backs. All have wall hanging points for hanging and have been painted in a different style to my usual with colourful powered underglazes & copper carbonate oxide and a transparent Earthenware glaze ontop.

Each painted with the Chakra colours represents a Healing Archangel - Michael (blue, indigo & purple), Raphael (green & silver), Angel of All (red, orange & yellow).

Like my hearts, I did not plan to make these until I found myself making them!

& in the past few weeks have made & glazed two Outdoor Stoneware piece’s one is a small butterfly & one another Angel - after firing these will be bright green, blue & yellow tone’s.

I have also been working on two Owl’s after hearing a magnificent one calling outside our window one night - Twiiit twoooo!

Today I feel grateful to have shared such a lovely morning during my workshop with a group of gorgeous souls.

First we did a energetic breathing technique to open up our prana within our bodies, we called upon our guardian angels and went into a clearing meditation to heal any emotional blockages that hold us back, to free us, to let go.

We experiencing a long powerful chakra flow meditation, drawing up the light & energy of mother earth & drawing this flow onto paper, opening and unifying our chakras & heart to love & the healing power of divine light and of our own bodies.

Everyone then choose a crystal they were drawn too, either Bloodstone or Aventurine and shaped a piece of clay listening to their inner rhythm & heart. Learning about the crystals and their own energies, their own love & power, and their own paths of life.

All made beautiful creations & shared wonderful experiences - these photo’s show several examples from half of the group.
